In Prayer This Week… *Give thanks to the Lord that Cecile Karstensen was able to have successful nose surgery this past week.
*Stella Hollebeek received good news that she does not need a new pacemaker at this time as her doctor believes her current pacemaker is working well.
*Pray for Donna McIlhenny (wife of OPC Chaplain Chuck McIlhenny), who has small vein disease and is experiencing recurring headaches. She will be seeing a neurologist this Tuesday.
*Pray for the persecuted church. Pray that the Lord will provide for the needs of our brothers and sisters across the Northeast of Nigeria who are suffering much under the humanitarian emergency the insurgency in that country has created; As the disappearance of believers are on the rise in Laos, pray for their safety.
*Give thanks for the ministry of Reformation Translation Fellowship as they translate and distribute reformed literature in China to house church leaders. Pray that government pressure on house churches to conform to state-regulated limitations on gospel ministry will not discourage faithful Christians and book publishers.
*The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated this morning. If you are a baptized and professing communicant member in good standing in a church that professes the gospel of God’s free grace in Jesus Christ, and if you live penitently and seek to walk in godliness before the Lord, then you are welcome to participate.
*The General Assembly of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church will meet May 31st through June 6 at Trinity Christian College in Illinois. Please be in prayer for the commissioners who will be attending, including Pastor Peter, that the Lord would give wisdom to the Assembly in its deliberations.
*Happy Birthday today to Eric Zarr and on Friday to Hannah Moelker.

Our Form of Church Government allows for the designation of a retired pastor as “minister emeritus” in recognition of years of faithful service as a minister of the gospel.
*Fellowship Committee: We need your help! If you are a fun person and like to plan fun events for our church family, please think of joining us! We meet about 3-4 times a year and organize occasions where we as a church family can fellowship together. Our dear Jen Winslow is leaving this committee, so we would love to have someone fill her shoes! If you have any questions, please speak to Jen or Lisa! Our next meeting is scheduled for May 30 at 7:00.
*Global Hymn Sing on June 25: Last year over 1.1 million people from 5,400 churches in 100 nations joined together to sing Facing A Task Unfinished by China Inland Mission worker, Frank Houghton. Our congregation will be joining in on June 25th to sing together with churches across the globe and highlight the gospel need among the nations.

The Shorter Catechism #97
What is required for the worthy receiving of the Lord’s Supper? It is required of them that would worthily partake of the Lord’s Supper, that they examine themselves of their knowledge to discern the Lord’s body, of their faith to feed upon him, of their repentance, love, and new obedience; lest, coming unworthily, they eat and drink judgement to themselves.
